About NightSong Paranormal


NightSong Paranormal, the renowned team based in Middle Tennessee, comprises esteemed paranormal investigators with years of active experience in exploring the unexplained. Led by their founder, Barbie Horsley, the team is reshaping the narrative surrounding paranormal phenomena. In 2022, NightSong Paranormal embarked on their journey, fueled by a shared passion for investigating historical sites, businesses, and private residences. As they delved into mysteries, honing their skills, they gained recognition as the 2023 Paranormal Researchers of the Year by American Paranormal Magazine and the American Paranormal Press.

NightSong Paranormal serves as the resident paranormal team for two historical sites in middle Tennessee: Maggie Mansion in Gallatin and Buchanan Log House in Nashville.

Whether capturing compelling evidence on camera, recording audio phenomena, or experiencing unexplained sensations firsthand, NightSong Paranormal continues to leave their mark in the world of the supernatural. BARBIE HORSLEY
Team Founder | CEO | Team Lead Investigator

Barbie doesn’t merely dabble in the paranormal; it’s woven into the fabric of her existence. Her first brush with the supernatural occurred at the tender age of six, igniting a lifelong quest for answers. Initially skeptical, she now stands firm after years of investigating unexplainable phenomena. As the driving force behind NightSong, she has assembled a group that uses a scientific approach, tackling each investigation with objectivity and a focus on debunking what others might deem paranormal. Despite their rigorous methods, the team sometimes encounters inexplicable events, which they document and share when possible.

BUFFY WOLFENBARGER
Co-Lead Investigator | Tech & Evidence Manager

Buffy's paranormal journey began in her own home, a place where her family's presence seemed to transcend the physical world. It was this intimate connection that spurred her to not only join NightSong but also to open her heart to the myriad possibilities of communication with the other side. Her pivotal moment came when she encountered spirits, including her own father, during her first investigation-an experience that remains etched in her soul.

VERNON GREENE
Senior Investigator

Vernon discovered his fascination with the paranormal at the tender age of 15, when he and a friend encountered a full-bodied apparition. Guided by a scientific approach, Vernon’s enthusiasm shines brightest when faced with unexplained phenomena. His extensive experience, gained through collaboration with the Clarksville Ghost Hunters, fuels his dedication to each investigation. In honor of his late friend Paul, Vernon commits himself wholeheartedly to unraveling the mysteries of the supernatural.

MORGAN MARTIN
Investigator

Morgan has always considered the “paranormal” as her everyday reality. Growing up, she immersed herself in paranormal shows alongside her family, and her experiences living in multiple homes with unexplained activity made the supernatural feel like second nature. As an adult, Morgan honed her understanding by fine-tuning energies around her and delving deeper into the study of otherworldly realms. A poignant first investigation at a fellow investigator’s home solidified her path, leading her to join NightSong in their quest to explore the mysteries of the paranormal.

EQUIPMENT

NightSong Paranormal uses state of the art equipment and scientific data collection tools on every investigation.
These tools play a vital role to detect, communicate, and capture ghostly evidence. Here's just a handful of the equipment we use at every investigation.
DVR System
Static cameras with long range IR continuously monitors and records the hot spots where paranormal activity occurs. This allows the team to cover more ground.
Digital Voice Recorder
A digital voice recorder captures spirit voices in the form of electronic voice phenomena (EVP). We can also use this device to listen to real time EVP's at the moment they are captured.
Spirit Box
Sweeping AM/FM radio stations at a high rate produces white noise which spirits are able to communicate through.
Meters & Environmental Data Loggers
Our team employs different environmental tools to detect changes in the environment from ammbient temperature, electromagnetic fields, pressure, humidity, and vibration.
Laser Grids
Laser grids cast a net of light useful for detecting shadows or other visual disturbances during an investigation.
Full Spectrum Light
The human eye can only see a small portion of the light spectrum. This device allows investigators to see in infrared and ultraviolet. The theory is ghost apparitions appear in one of these two spectrum's.
Thermal
Allows a visual detection in real time of temperature changes to signify paranormal presences.
Motion Sensors
The team uses different types of motion sensors. They alert the team when the sensor is tripped or triggered.
Trigger Objects
The team uses various trigger objects in order for spirits to interact with. This allows the team to establish communication from the beyond and document compelling evidence.
