Notice: 12/20/2024
Our team is full; however, we accept applications year-round and refer back to those if space opens on our team.
2025 Membership Information
We're expanding and seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals ready to dive into investigations, contribute to our growing community, and share in the excitement of the paranormal. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, all that matters is your passion and eagerness to learn. Our field is both rewarding and demanding, requiring dedication and effort. NSP conducts 25-30 team investigations annually, hosts public ghost hunts, co-hosts events, attends expos, and is featured on podcasts and news outlets.
We employ a scientific methodology for our investigations. We approach each case with objectivity and a focus on debunking phenomena that others might consider paranormal. Our process includes historical research and location background, baseline readings with environmental data loggers, evidence collection tools like night vision surveillance, thermal cameras, digital voice recorders, and other data logging devices, post-investigation reviews, documentation, and reporting. We emphasize patience, logical thinking, attention to detail, and unbiased skepticism throughout the investigation process. Our goal is to ensure any claims of paranormal activity are thoroughly investigated and verified.
New recruits undergo a provisional period before being offered a full or part-time position to ensure a good fit. We are very much a family here at NightSong Paranormal, so it is crucial to find great investigators with the qualities we're looking for (and who fit well with our current members). Please read the remaining qualifications below. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me via email. Looking forward to your application!

----------------------------------------------
Character and Work Ethic.
We have earned a solid reputation in the field by fostering trust and strong connections with other teams and investigation locations. Our members are logical, polite, professional, compassionate, and genuinely committed to finding answers. We appreciate a good sense of humor to keep us grounded, and we all get along very well. It's crucial that everyone on the team works well together. We uphold high standards for both our team members and our investigation methods. Our investigators listen to instructions from lead investigators and understand the importance of structure in our organization to ensure thorough investigations.
Experience.
We maintain high standards for investigations and evidence, and we are open to training individuals with limited experience. Team connectivity is crucial, so we ensure all investigators get acquainted and conduct joint investigations. Logical thinkers and scientifically-oriented investigators excel during the provisional period. Remember, there's always room to learn new techniques.
Passion for the Paranormal.
Paranormal investigation isn't as glamorous as TV shows and YouTube channels make it seem. Real investigations require patience and a level head, as activity is often sparse and fleeting. We spend much time recreating or debunking these moments. This is why the passion to find answers far outweighs any thrill-seeking moment.
Cost.
Paranormal research can be expensive, and being part of an operational team involves additional costs and perks. We have a library of team gear for investigations, but all members must have their own basic kits. Upon completing provisional status and signing the membership agreement, members receive a complimentary NightSong Paranormal team shirt. Additional branded gear is available for purchase at team cost. Membership also includes monthly dues. Please consider all costs before applying.
Have Faith (whatever that looks like for you).
We honor and respect all faiths and belief systems, valuing each team member's individual beliefs, practices, and traditions. Religious or spiritual discrimination is not tolerated here, and all paths are welcome. We encourage everyone to take precautions according to their belief system before and after investigations.
Qualifications.
Team members must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, and have no felony convictions. They should not have any substance abuse issues related to drugs or alcohol. Availability on some weekends for investigations, conventions, or outings is required. Additionally, members must have a working computer with internet access and basic computer skills. NightSong Paranormal candidates or members cannot simultaneously belong to another team. However, if you are involved in a side project such as a podcast, paranormal show, or community initiative, that is absolutely fine.
