Join NightSong Paranormal
We’re currently accepting applications from experienced investigators in Middle Tennessee who want to work with integrity, document real evidence, and help preserve haunted history.
NightSong Paranormal conducts private investigations, collaborates with other teams, hosts public events, and builds connections that strengthen paranormal research across Tennessee. We’re looking for experienced investigators who can join us 1–2 times a month and contribute to the work that defines our team.
What We’re Known For
Thorough Investigations
Baseline sweeps, static setups, detailed logs, and structured evidence review define our process.
Collaboration & Respect
We work with paranormal teams, historical societies, and tourism boards to preserve haunted history and guide novice investigators at public events.
Education & Growth
Curiosity, integrity, and a willingness to learn matter more than having all the answers.
“Better Together” Mindset
We support each other and the wider paranormal community. We are a team first.

An Investigator’s Role on the Team
Being an investigator involves staying active in team communication, assisting with setup and tear-down, and participating in the full investigative process — from walkthroughs to evidence review.
NightSong hosts its own public investigation events and is frequently invited to guide groups at other haunted and historic sites. During these events, we mentor novice hunters, demonstrate equipment and techniques, and keep the experience safe and respectful — while ensuring it remains their investigation. Members must be comfortable teaching beginners, answering questions, and providing support without taking over.
Members may also help with social media shares, behind-the-scenes projects, and representing NightSong at locations. Above all, professionalism and confidentiality are non-negotiable.
What You’ll Gain
- Hands-on training in NightSong’s methods and SOPs
- A clear, structured investigation framework
- Opportunities to lead segments and mentor others
- A friendship-driven, supportive team culture
- Memorable locations, experiences, and teamwork
- Connection with like-minded investigators searching for answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience to apply?
Yes. We only accept applicants with at least one year of active paranormal investigation experience — team-based, structured public hunts, or documented solo work.
What is the time commitment?
Expect 1–2 Friday/Saturday nights per month, plus occasional extra events. Members also join some virtual evidence review sessions and stay active in communication.
Do I need my own equipment?
Personal gear is welcome but not required. NightSong provides shared equipment, and all tools — personal or team-owned — must follow our protocols.
Can I be on another team?
No. To avoid conflicts of interest and scheduling issues, we do not accept applicants currently active on another paranormal team.
What is my role during public hunts?
To guide, support, and educate guests — not to take over. You’ll help them use equipment, learn techniques, and feel confident leading their own experience.
How does the application process work?
After submitting your interest form, we review your experience and availability. Selected applicants will be contacted for a conversation and may be invited to a trial investigation or event.
