Preparedness:
- Access: Ensure the team has access to all areas of the home, including attics, basements, and any places where activity has been noted. Remove any clutter that may hinder access to these locations.
- Awareness: Make sure all household members are aware of the investigation and understand the process.
- Absence: Arrange for family members or roommates to be away from the property during our stay. If you have anxious pets, please arrange for a neighbor, friend, or family member to take care of them during our investigation. We have a short window to capture potential evidence, so a controlled environment is best.
- Diary: Keep a diary of experiences leading up to the investigation, noting dates, times, and details of any unexplained occurrences.
- Openness: Stay open to the investigation process and any potential findings, whether we confirm or debunk paranormal activity.
- Patience: Be patient with us as we investigate. Understand that paranormal activity is not guaranteed and immediate results might not be evident. The analysis of data can take time.
- Confidentiality: Your privacy and the confidentiality of the investigation are paramount. Any findings will be shared with you privately.
Team Arrival:
- Punctuality: We will arrive promptly at the scheduled time.
- Paperwork: We’ll handle any preliminary paperwork, including having you sign an agreement that allows us to investigate.
- Location Tour: A location tour is crucial. It helps us identify appropriate places for our cameras and highlights any safety hazards. During the tour, we may ask follow-up questions and request to see your diary of experiences, if you kept one.
Equipment & Camera Setup:
- Strategy: After the tour, the team will strategize and find the best configuration to set up basecamp.
- Setup: Based on the most active areas, our team will place static night vision cameras and digital voice recorders throughout the area.
- Baseline Readings: Our team will take photos, conduct thermal sweeps, and gather baseline readings several times throughout the investigation.
- Additional Equipment: We’ll also set up different meters, environmental data loggers, and other equipment throughout the home.
- Notification: Once we are close to wrapping up our investigation, we will notify you that it is safe to return.
After the Investigation:
- Packing Up: The team will carefully pack up all equipment, ensuring that all data is securely stored.
- Debrief: A quick debrief might be conducted immediately after the investigation to capture initial impressions and observations.
- Review: We will spend time reviewing all collected data. This process can take days or weeks depending on the amount of data.
The Reveal:
- Sharing Findings: Once the evidence has been reviewed and the findings compiled, we will share them in person, over a call, or via email. You will receive a copy of the findings via a secure shared link.
- Discussion: We will discuss the findings and explain what was discovered and our impressions. We will also address any of your questions or concerns.
- Recommendations: Based on our findings, we may provide recommendations. This could include steps to address further paranormal activity, protection methods, or even schedule a follow-up investigation.
