Our Findings

The Buchanan Log House has become a sought-after location for paranormal teams eager to document activity. After rigorous vetting and board approval, NightSong Paranormal has been granted exclusive access to conduct paranormal research and ghost tours. A team investigation in August 2023 yielded compelling evidence supporting the theory of paranormal activity within the home and its grounds.

Here’s a glimpse of the documented evidence:
Intelligent Responses: Audio recording devices captured intelligent responses, particularly after the team witnessed the curio cabinet door opening on its own in the kitchen.

Interactions with Equipment: Throughout the home, NightSong Paranormal experienced various interactions with their paranormal equipment.
Suspected Entities: The team documented intelligent responses from entities they suspect to be James, Lucinda, Matthew, and an unknown small child.

Lucinda’s Voice: Lucinda’s voice was captured, saying “hello” and confirming her love for lilacs.

James’s Playfulness: Recordings suggest James playfully whistled and even gave a light touch to the team founder upon request.

Apparition: The most extraordinary evidence was that of a wispy apparition seen walking across the yard.

Buchanan Log House Chapter APTA is excited to announce that private paranormal investigations of this historic home are now available! To ensure the integrity of the property’s history and preservation, a thorough vetting process will be conducted for all interested teams. Here are the minimum requirements to be considered for a private investigation:

  1. Verifiable Service: Teams must have a minimum of one year of verifiable experience in paranormal investigations.
  2. Methodology/Investigative Style: Teams should have a clear methodology or investigative style.
  3. Web Presence: Teams must maintain a web presence, such as a website or social media presence.
  4. References: Teams must provide two references from prior locations (excluding private clients or residences). These references should include full contact information.

Cost:
  • The fee for private investigations is $100 per hour for up to eight investigators (with a minimum booking of four hours).

Terms and Conditions:
  • Investigators must be at least 18 years old.
  • Upon arrival, all investigators will be required to sign liability waivers, adhere to house rules, and follow a code of conduct.
  • A member of the Buchanan Log House Chapter APTA will be present at the history center on the property during your investigation. They will not intervene unless house rules or the code of conduct are violated.

Vetting Process:
  • Once the board initiates the vetting process, a member of NightSong Paranormal will be in contact with your team.
  • Please note that requests for bookings should come directly from the board; do not contact us directly to book.
